Fig 24. Final logo after amendment
I also completed the card design for normal challenges, hard challenges and skip card.
During week 13, we show Ms.Anis the amended version, she says we can start finalising as the designs look okay.
Week 14
For week 14, I start working on the guide book. The initial idea for the book was to create a folder look however the idea was later scrapped as it is not convenient for players and pieces might go missing.
Fig 26. Ideation for guide book and point sheet
We opted for the classic rule/ guide book instead however we ran into a new problem. We wanted to create tabs for easy navigation however due o the custom size of the book and printing technical issues. We have to scrap that idea and instead create a category colour at the side of the page. So when looking from the side it is easy to navigate because of the colour.
For players to collect their points, I also created a point sheet which is inspired by old library booklist.
Here are the work in progress

REFLECTION
Experience
This module was different from other modules as we are creating a project from scratch as final year student. It is definitely an experience as I am working with a partner which I end up become friends with. It have been a great time working with Maisarah as we view things quite similarly. At the beginning of the project, I had a lot of doubt on what topic to approach. However with the help of Maisarah and Ms. Anis' guidance, I am able to work with a better view. My overall experience on this project have been great and fulfilling as I get to learn about Malaysia media and P. Ramlee. At the start of the project, I am unaware of P. Ramlee's work. I have always known him as a Malaysian actor who is popular however after this project, I am able to see the charms of his works. I hope when the players try out our game will feel the same as me!
Observation
Overall experience in design this board game was fun for me as it is a medium I have not try before. Definitely a lot of try and error along the way in terms of printing however it is a good learning experience. I really enjoy designing this project as I get to explore the retro design style.
Finding
This project allow me to experience creating a board game from idea to end product. A lot of thought and consideration is needed for good user experience. It was definitely a new learning experience for me.
