From this module, assignment 1 was time consuming and heavy however , it was less stressful compared to Design Research Methodology. After completing Project 1, I realised that I have released myself a bit. Assignment 2 was interesting as we got to design a book based on the research topic that we have been working on. I enjoyed designing the flipbook as we get to have a break from writing. However, we are required to check the similarity of our dissertation in Turnitin which made me feel stressed. The similarity percentage is 15% and below but for my first attempt was above 15%. For my second attempt was below 15%. I believed that mistakes that were made throughout the assignments are what makes the learning experience interesting as I get to learn from my mistakes. The last assignment is interesting as we are required to summarize our research.
When completing this module, I have a different view on graphic illustration when writing my findings and discussion. This module was fun and an interesting experience. From the assignments, I realised that I am still weak in writing as I repeat a lot of sentences and words which causes a lot of repetition. The assignments were a bit challenging as I struggled to write a descriptive and detailed explanation for my dissertation but at the end, I was able to observe and learn throughout the module. Besides that, I was still weak at reading research articles as I still needed to spend lots of time reading and understanding the articles.
The positive side is that through the assignments, I have a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of graphic illustration as a communication tool in advertisements.
Through this module, I was able to learn how to write a proper dissertation from the information that I have collected from Design Research Methodology. I was able to gain knowledge when working on the assignments and the knowledge I gained from this module was insightful. Overall, it was an interesting and fun experience as I got to learn how to write a dissertation and also the knowledge gained from this module which will be useful and will help me enhance my work in the future.
